The world needs a different brand of Politicians...

The political leaderships of the world live in glass houses, surrounded by mostly ass-licking servants, in comfort, heavily protected at huge expense!
Why the protection if they have been chosen democratically?

My proposal is that the top political echelons (Presidents, Ministers, Party leaders, Members of Parliament, Senators and directors in governments) should live in the poorest of the poorest areas in their country, like poor people. They must dress after work like the poor, walk home or take public transport like the poor.

Why?

Hopefully "they" will be and remain focused on the realities and hardships of the man in the street. This daily reminder should convince them that their function is to uplift their fellow country citizens. They were chosen not for their beautiful asses, but supposedly for their "stated" concern for, and desire, to uplift their country's citizens.

Is this not what the greatest spiritual and political leader ever, Mahatma Gandhi, did throughout his entire life? He led at that time roughly some 1 billion people!

So, please do tell me, should our present leaders not be able to emulate him and uplift a couple of tens, hundreds of millions of their citizens? With to-days infrastructures? Internet? Communication system?
