There are too many chickens around...

Yes, there are and they are human...

The man in the street is being fed all sorts, daily, through the media and advertising. Like chicken they just keep on pecking the "food" that is dished out to them, as it is, in front of their nose. They just follow the path of the feed...

And one day, they will discover that the path leads nowhere, that all they thought they owned, believed and craved is in fact totally worthless.

Now you know why the blog name: "Thinkers-think"

Is it a statement or an encouragement?

Stock Exchanges, an investment medium?

Used to be... To-day a stock exchange is more a "Gambling den" than an investment medium.

Return on investment, management quality, balance sheet analysis, market potential or penetration, new technologies or products, research and developments, all these no longer play the important role in the decision making processes of buying or selling a share.

The daily activities, fluctuations, up and or down movements of shares no longer reflect the value of a company in the investment fraternity but rather the greed or panic of operators in the Market.

In some countries the hype is so strong that even governments are getting worried.

Will a repeat of 1929 shake common sense back into people? Hardly.

When a hefty falls happens in one day, the stock exchange just closes its doors to avoid the run... like the run on the bank...

Is there a balance..?

Our planet is a dual planet.
Everything is found in two contrasting parts.
Day – night, cold – heat, black – white, health – sickness, life – death.

That is why two is a company and three a crowd…

To-days youth...

Is kept busy swinging with music, cell phoning and surfing on the Internet.

Little do they realise that while they are so occupied Rome is burning. They have no more time to observe, analyse and think. Little do they realise what is happening around them and how their future is being shaped. When to-morrow they will discover that their freedom has gone, it will be too late.

The sheep enjoy being hoarded towards their paddocks.

Control and Power...

Control the Information and you have Power.

The man in the street is manipulated daily. The information dished out to him through the Media daily has for purpose to move him into an expected and desired direction and action. While thus occupied, the Power is trampling gently into his rights.

Never before has there been such a huge amount of information available to the masses and yet, never before has so little use of it being made.

The more you get, the less you use. This is because we believe that what is freely available has no value.

Leaders lead? You must be joking...

What people refer to as leaders, do not lead!
They watch their backs and protect their jobs, be it in commerce, industry or politics. They create “clubs” supposedly for the good of mankind such as the United Nations, the EU, the African Union etc. These bodies serve as brotherhoods. This is where they scratch and cover each other’s backs and deals are made to maintain as far as possible their power and job.

True leaders, such as Gandhi truly was, only appear in real times of hardship or urgency. And make no mistake; I am only referring to natural calamities.

Wars do not happen per chance. They are all man made and serve the needs of some “leaders”, be they in commerce, industry or politics.

An honest Political Leader.

Many will say: This is a contradiction in terms.

True! Except for one political leader: Mahatma Gandhi.

He lived his principles and never enriched himself. He lived and died a financially poor person. He, personally, never benefited from his political position. He would and did not compromise his principles not even to the Queen of England. He visited her and dressed for the occasion as he always dressed.

Can you name another such political leader?

What a pity that he was a “once of” to the world…

Is enough never enough?

Does the incessant presentation of “The second world war” on a TV Channel not constitute a reminder to the German people that they are (supposedly) solely responsible for the war?

Let me ask you: "Will you, virtually day in day out, week in week out, month in month out, year in year out, want to be constantly reminded of “something”? Will you not at one stage say: “Enough is now enough! I will no longer accept and tolerate this constant bombardment. I will rebel against this?”

What makes you think that the German Volk will not one day say this too?
